Question: Grocery stores sold these for 98 cents in 1953. The company had hoped to sell 5000 in the first year but sold 10 million. Name the product.

Answer: Swanson's TV Dinner!

Can you believe that? How many of us grew up eating Swanson's TV Dinners? What were some of the items on the Swansons menu? What memories do they evoke? They became the rage for years. But in the 70's & 80's, as Americans became more and more health conscious, Swanson's didn't adapt well and their business suffered.

It's interesting how success can lead to failure. When something works and becomes our way, we may hold on tenaciously, even when it begins to fail us. As new ideas and discoveries arise, we may be resistant. But we need to take things to heart if we hope to survive and thrive.

This happened in Jesus' day. He was outside-the-box for the religious order of the day and many missed out. Don't be like one of them. This morning, Steve brings a message from John 10, where Jesus says, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
