Question: What are Olympic gold medals made of?

Answer: Silver on the inside, gold on the outside.
- The first gold medals of the modern Olympic era actually were pure gold! But that changed in 1916.
- Today, they are made of silver, then plated in gold. 494 grams of silver and 6 grams of gold, to be exact.
- They are still awesome and truly priceless to those awarded them but imagine how much more if they were still pure through and through?

This morning we will consider scripture and story to learn that it's what's inside that counts. Steve's message is called, "The Worship God Wants: Approaching With Backbone and Heart, Part One"

Note: this morning's sermon is rated R for "Real".
