My Morning Rituals: How to Prepare for Defining Moments
Passage: Isaiah 50:4–50:7
Some of us gave up things for Lent. One popular item to fast from over Lent is coffee.
Question: How long does it take for a coffee bean to go from being planted in the ground to poured into your cup? (How many weeks, months or years?)
Answer: Over 6 years! Depending on the variety of bean and where it’s grown, it takes that long for a coffee plant to grow, bear fruit, and finally become what you’re drinking (or looking forward to drinking!) right now.
Like the bamboo and the coffee plant, it takes time for us to grow as well. We may become discouraged when we suffer a setback or personal failure, but we need to be patient and persevere. This morning, Steve brings his final message on perseverance, just in time for Holy Week, Good Friday, and Resurrection Sunday. It’s called "My Morning Rituals: How to Prepare for Defining Moments.”
