The War of Art - Part 2

August 5, 2018 Speaker: Steve Garcia Series: Created to Be Creative: God, Art & You

Topic: Creativity Takes Courage Passage: 2 Samuel 6:12–6:23

Question: A new survey found the top 10 things that instantly put us in a better mood. What came in at number one?
Answer: Finding money in your pocket you didn’t know you had!

Right? That never gets old. How many of you have had that experience? How much have you unexpectedly found in your pocket? Why does it feel so good?

Conversely, some things instantly put us in a bad mood. One of them is criticism. It can take you from a good mood to a low point in seconds.

This morning, we'll return to the story of David's delirious dance. He was so happy and uninhibited...then he got home and faced a barrage of criticism. How would that feel? No bueno.  Steve continues with the next installment in our summer sermon series, "Created to Be Creative." His message is called "The War of Art: How to Win the Creative Battle."
