Answer: At church!
Church can be a great place to meet someone, friend or spouse. But any place can be a good place to meet Jesus, if you can make it enough of an undistracted place to actually meet WITH Him. Spiritual formation, becoming more like Jesus, requires relationship and that requires undistracted space and time. And the truth is, if we don’t spend time WITH Jesus, we’ll never become like Him. Maybe that’s why so many people who claim to follow Jesus don’t actually look like Him. They are doing life FOR Him or to get something FROM Him, and not doing life WITH Him. That’s the subject of our message this morning. Pastor Jill brings us the next sermon in our series on “Rhythms of Grace” today, called “Being WITH Jesus Gives Life.”
