Question: This piece of furniture reached it’s peak in sales in 1986, but sales have since plummeted by over 90%. What is it?

Answer: A Waterbed!

Did you have a waterbed? Do you still have a waterbed? One sure thing about a waterbed is how hard it is to get out of one once you’re in it. It’s way easier to just hang out there than to get out of there.

On the other hand, it takes great intentionality to hang out with Jesus. We’ve always got people, tasks, and circumstances demanding out attention and abiding with our Savior is hard. But that’s where thriving happens. That’s where life, and freedom, and fruit occur. That’s the subject of todays sermon.
