Question: In a recent poll, it was found that while most men can do this simple talent, it’s estimated that only about 10% of women can. What is it?
Answer: Whistle!
Person 1: Speaking of whistles I blow a dog whistle every time I see the sun setting.
Person 2: That seems strange, why would you blow a dog whistle at sunset?
Person 1: It’s always nice to end the day on a high note!
Seriously though, the talents we can and can’t perform are examples of what makes us all so unique and different from one another. This can be beautiful. Throughout human history, however, people have often used the differences they see in others as reasons to push people away or even oppress them.
Rather than pushing us apart through our differences, God give us opportunities to practice love for one another as Christ loves us and see the person across from us as one who Jesus made and loves. Today Pastor Jill brings us the final sermon in our current series on this very subject in a sermon called “The Kingdom of God Is a New Way of Life.”
