What Kind of God….Eats Broiled Fish?: April 16, 2023 – Jill Jones

Question: In a recent survey, 20% of adults said they absolutely could not do this if they were asked to do it today. What is it?

Answer: Pass a written driving test!

That’s a little scary isn’t it? How many people driving a car right now are from that 20%? That’s a lot of people who don’t think they could pass a driving test.

I bet even fewer people know how to cook fish over an open flame. For so much of human history, people have cooked over fires and enjoyed the taste of broiled food. Jesus was one of those Who did.

In our passage today, we find that Jesus enjoyed broiled fish! But what does that have to do with us today? That’s the subject of pastor Jill’s sermon called “What Kind of God…Eats Broiled Fish?”
