Question: According to a recent survey, the average American would drive over 30 miles for this. What is it?
Answer: A Cheeseburger!
Driving 30 miles just to find a good Cheeseburger seems pretty excessive. People will go to great lengths to get what they really want. The question is, how far would we be willing to go to get to Jesus? Are we willing to wait for Him? Are we willing to intentionally fight for time with Him? Are we willing to risk looking weird or strange to get to Him?
In our passage today, one man does something that might seem pretty crazy to get to Jesus, and finds that Jesus meets him in the midst of his willingness to imperfectly trust that Jesus is with Him. Pastor Jill brings a message today from the book of Matthew called “When the Storm Comes.”
